Celebrating Life!

I love celebrations; don’t you?

I love the planning, the decorating, the cooking, and the gathering of family and friends that celebrations provide. I deeply value holiday traditions and personal milestones in other’s lives as well as my own. I believe this is what makes life richer and keeps relationships close. Celebrating special occasions of any kind, remind us of what is truly important.

Thankfully I grew up in a family that always celebrated birthdays, holidays, and special occasions; but I’ve known some people who don’t know what this is like. While I can’t relate, it reminds me how lucky I am to have family and friends who celebrate the milestones in my life and whom I can celebrate in theirs. We all need people to celebrate our lives with, as this makes life more joyful, meaningful and special.

Celebrating other’s accomplishments, milestones, or special occasions is a privilege and honor that is filled with excitement and fun. It allows everyone to bask in positive emotions that uplift even the sullen of hearts. When we take part in celebrating with family or friends, we are sharing in their joy; acknowledging their uniqueness, while displaying one of life’s greatest gifts… love.

Taking time to celebrate with loved ones, friends, strangers and co-workers fosters greater relationships for everyone present. It brings people together and allows us to “let our hair down” and relax so that we can truly be ourselves. When we’re in this state of being, we are more open and receptive to the unexpected, making our vibrational frequency higher; this results in greater manifestation of our hearts desires. It is no accident why many single people find their soul mates at weddings, parties, or other social occasions. Nor is it by accident that many business opportunities occur while casually networking at celebrations. Perhaps this is why many companies hold employee picnics, office parties and retreats.

Regardless of the reason for celebrating, take a moment to breathe it all in. Savor all the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and touch of others. Give thanks for this precious time on earth and appreciate all the gifts you have been given. Cherish those around you with kindness and acceptance. Wouldn’t that be something to celebrate!

Take Time Out

I am so thankful and grateful for time out’s. Whether it’s a minute, five, ten, or all day, taking time out from the day-to-day routine is essential for optimal mental health. Doing this before the pressures of life get too much is far better than waiting for things to back up or worse, explode! Recently, I enjoyed a wonderful conference that explored integrating our shadow side (fears, resentments, frustrations, or other limiting beliefs) in order live from greater conscious awareness. It was a fabulous day away from the family, pets, and housework where I could dress up and feel like a real adult. Ahhhh. We all need time outs like these and I realized that it had been far too long for me.

The beautiful part about time outs is that afterwards, you feel completely rejuvenated and inspired with greater motivation as well as a fresh perspective. It’s like going away on a vacation, when you come home everything looks so much better.

Now a little more info on these time out’s and what they look like. Taking deep, cleansing, breathes for a minute or two can suffice in a pinch when you’re feeling stressed out and need to calm down to collect yourself. Practicing some yoga or Tai Chi postures for 15 minutes of more can be a great time out to re-focus and go within. Exercising at the gym or going for a brisk walk /run/ bike ride, can be another form of time out that is just for you, allowing for greater energy, improved physical health, and mental clarity. There are times, however, when one needs a longer time out than those described above. When this happens, enroll in a seminar or workshop for the day or go on a private retreat for the weekend to refuel and pamper yourself. The time alone will not only benefit you, but your family, job, and outlook on life as well.

Just like toddlers, we all need to take time out from our day to nap, rest, and play; yet as we grow up and the pressures of life build, we need greater time outs to reflect and bask in the silence. Media, technology, financial obligations, and increased job/personal demands have created a pace to life that is difficult for any human being to sustain. Thus, taking time out from this pace to slow down and relax is key to balance the inner with the outer and maintain feelings of emotional satisfaction with the lives we lead and the direction they are taking.

I, for one, am grateful for taking these time-outs in order to examine and re-align my life with Divine Purpose. Try it for yourself today and see how much better you feel afterwards. Mix up the varying kinds of time-outs described above and notice your productivity and outlook skyrocket.

Our Divine Path

What a relief it is knowing that we all have a Divine purpose and path for our lives. I find comfort from this belief and trust that regardless of current circumstances, I am exactly where I’m destined to be. Thank you God for providing me with everything needed for peace, stability, joy, abundance, health, and success!

By letting go and allowing my Divine Path to unfold, I release all anxiety, worry, and fear making room for God to work in my life. Through communing with the Divine, I have been led as to what actions to take and given all the strength and clarity that is needed each step of the way.

What is your Divine Path? To find out, close your eyes and take several deep breathes to get quiet and connect with Source. Clear you mind of everything and just be. Next, be open to Divine wisdom to come to you. Invite this wisdom and direction into your consciousness. You will be able to tell the difference between these wise thoughts and your usual thoughts, because they will be calming and feel right to you. You will feel this at a gut and heart level instead of your head which is logic based. So forget everything you think you know, breathe, and relax into the truth that you are on your Divine path!
